Convert Any Song In Itunes To A Ringtone For Your iPhone

  1. Find the song that you want to make into a ringtone.
  2. If you want to only use part of the song, Right-click the song and select “Get Info.” Now Click the “Options” tab, and then edit the start time of your ringtone in the text box next to “Start Time” and “End Time” (if desired). Then click ok.
  3. Right-click your song again and select “Convert Selection to AAC”. Wait for iTunes to convert your song. It will create a duplicate version.
  4. Right click the duplicate and select “Show in windows explorer.”
  5. Now leave that window open and go back to itunes, delete the duplicate, and select “keep files”
  6. Go back to the folder we just left open and change the extension of the song you just duplicated to .m4r instead of .m4a.
  7. Now  Double-click the ringtone file. ITunes will automatically add it to your ringtones folder in your iTunes Music Library.
  8. Connect your iPhone and sync your ringtones.

    I did everything right but how come I can’t sync it into my Iphone? I mean I sync it but it can’t be found in my phone. Please advise. Thanks. jbuckell@gmail.com

    Hey, I did everything and when i went to sync my phone i couldnt find the ringtone anywhere in my phone after. Did i do something wrong?

    i’ve done everything listed above but it wont show up in my ringtone folder, i dont understand why or what i’m going differently! I’ve created one before but this time it wont work. Help please!
