Does Freagle Work?

I’ve just started another blog. Yep don’t you know it.

Check it HERE

Last night on Today Tonight, a popular TV show on channel 7, a money making scheme was shown called Freagle.

Shown as the “Easiest Home Business Ever”, Today Tonight presented this story, interviewing people who have had major success using the program and the two of the site owners. Some would say the site has just paid some big bucks and used the today tonight as a big ad campaign for their money making program. I’m not going to discuss that part but if your interested, head over to this blog where its currently being discussed.

The site http://www.easiesthomebusinessever.com.au is a monthly subscription program you can sign up to and they claim that using the program you can earn over $100 an hour following the simple tutorials and using their in house software called Freagle. Freagle also owns other companies such as Freestuffday & Layby.

Ok, So What’s This Site All About?

Does Freagle Work is me going through the program blogging about every aspect of it. I’m going to see if you really can make money from it and then help you do it in the process. If it doesn’t work. I’m going to spam the blog all over the net and make sure people don’t give these creeps any more money :)

  • I’m wondering if it works… looking forward to reading your blog..

  • I signed up for the first month (stupid me). I have emailed them and tried to cancel for the following months but they haven’t answered my email. I am going to ring up my credit card company and cancel my card so that they can’t get any more money off me.

Today I looked at what my membership actually paid for. I was very disappointed. It seems to me that I would have to do 3 things in particular. 1. Signup for facebook and or twitter than try and make a link to things to sell to my friends (suck them in too). 2. Keep paying the $59.99 fee each month in order to gain access to certain files. 3. Kick myself for being so stupid in the first place.

  • Well, i have been watching the EHBE very closely. From what i can see so far, members are getting no support whatsoever from the people selling this program. The only way they are getting answers is in the Freagle Forum where they are being led by people like themselves who are just as confused. Its a case of doy doy which way to go.
It has made for a bit of fun reading though lol.
You wont find anything negative in the Freagle Forum though (also called The Gathering), as any negative comments are deleted by members called moderators (LOL) who are a joke in itself.
Seems most of the new EHBE want OUT, but are getting no response to their request, so these people have reverted to cancelling their credit cards in order to not get taken for any more of their hard earned money. Most of the takers of this Too Good to be True scheme are already cash strapped and cant afford to lose any more money. Others are taking it to Fair Trading.
And EASY? So far i have not seen anyone who has taken up this get Rich Quick schome call it easy. Current Freagle members are also not interested in purchasing from any of thes new affiliate members, so where are the sales going to come from?. Freagle members only want to collect points from answering the new members questions, so they may get a free item.

  • @peacepipe maybe. I’ve saved all the videos, so at the end of the program if it doesnt work. I will be doing anything to stop them.
@findascam thanks for your info. Do you have a link to the forum?

  • I emailed the freagle website many times, however, I never ever got a response. I had to cancel my credit card (yes, so they can’t get any more money off me). I wanted to just stop the next months payment but my bank wouldn’t do this – they claim it’s a direct debit and they I would need to contact the company (which explained I did). So, I’m just going around and around….

    Pointless.

I am also locked out of the freagle site (have been since last Sunday 10/May/09)….

  • great to see all the above comments – which certainly paints a more accurate picture. When I google searched – all the links were obviously to the “authorized” sites and blogs. They obviously have the search engines sussed out as to how to have all their web sites and blogs on page one. Wonder if it’s possible to complain to google?? Has anyone complained to channel 7 that they did not present an accurate portrayal of this scam??

  • Hi

You can cancel the subscription through paypal. Check the original email you recieved from paypal when you paid, it has directions on the bottom on how to cancel the subscription. Hope this helps.

  • I can certainly see that some people are feeling misled and deceived by EHBE and I can’t blame them, I was contemplating joining up myself until I did some research and read this blog… Is there anybody who has actually had a positive experience with EHBE?

    May 17, 2009

  • Does anyone know how to cancel my subscription if I used my credit card for this payment?
Still waiting for a reply from freagle team.

  • It was very risky to use a cradit card. I wanted to pay for this with pre-paid credit card and top it up with the money that I have to pay for the first time so if it doesnt work I will not be charged any more. Im so glad though Ive found this blog. You have just saved my money. I have also seen them advertising showing a video of a 12 years old girl who makes endless fortune every day. We naive people always believe. It is such a pitty it does not work :( Does anyone have any positive comments?

  • Hi All. I also got sucked in with the low joining fee. I paid by credit card, but i have managed to cancel, all you do is send an email to the freagle team as on the site and fill in your details about when you joined etc.
These people are amateurs and tossers, they don’t know what they are doing.

  • After giving 13 days notice to cancel my subscription Freagle still debited my credit card. Fortunately I had put a hold on transactions for the amount of the debit I expected. Unfortunately the debited amont was slightly different. I am told the only way to prevent them placing the debit is to cancel your card and have it reissued. Fortunately there is still the dispute avenue to go down to recover the transaction. I’ll see how that goes.

  • Very interested to read your blog Brett. My daughter joined Freagle on 29 May 2009. Her credit card has been debited for the initial amount but as of today 10 June 2009, her account has not yet been activated. She has no access to the teleseminars or the 0nline Cash Secrets program. She sent them an email on 1 June 2009 asking them why it hadn’t been activated but has not yet received a reply. Today she has cancelled with them and asked for her money back in a second email. From their response so far (nothing) it would seem that her only recourse will be to cancel her credit card. Does anyone have access to these videos??

  • I joined the easiest home business program on the 7th May, I spent a whole month trying very hard to make it work, following tutorial 1 dilegently. I paid my initial fee of $19.95 (today/tonight specail) by paypal, then I also signed up for the “points for purchase” on the 18th May, which I thought would replace the $60 per month charge from paypal.
I could only pay for this points for purchase from my credit card, with the condition that I had to sign up for 3 months recuring. I was ok with this, as I thought it might work, and really wanted to do everything I could to make it work.

They took the first $60 from my credit card straight away, which surprised me, as I thought they wouldn’t take it til the 7th June, when my next months fee was due. So I felt a little ripped off, like I hadn’t recieved a full months worth for the $20 today/tonight special. So then I of course expected to be charged another $60 from my credit card on the 18th June????

I have not made any money from this business, and when I discovered that on the 7th June I was charged $60 from my Paypal account. I was devistated to realise that I was now paying $120 a month for a business that wasn’t working.

I sent an email to the freagle team, detailing everything….my name, date I joined, user name, everything, and I explained that I wanted out of all freagle services, as it wasn’t working for me and how I didn’t realise that I was having to pay for both subsciption to the easiest home business AND points for pruchase. I told them I couldn’t afford to keep paying this money, and could they just let me go, and that I would honor my responsibility in posting the “free products” I had listed on the freagle website to the winners.

I was going to give them 3 days to respond to my email, before making the descision to cancel my cards. BUT would you believe that Pete from freagle phoned me the very next day (queens birthday public holdiay) He said that I wasn’t supposed to pay for the points for purchase, that it was complimentory for the easiest home business members, and that they were going to credit my credit card. He also said that I could cancel and that I was still welcome to use the website for my remaining time. I explained that I tried very hard to make it work and he said it is a *numbers game* and he compared it to *tatts lotto*.

Overall, I am happy with the service I have recieved, just disapointed that Today/tonight painted a rosier picture of it, they cerainly didn’t say that you had just as good a chance as tatts lotto!!!!

  • I am thankful that i saw this blog to see this scam for what it is. Channel 7’s today tonight would have to be liable in some way or another as they were promoting it and failed to let anyone know that it was a scam, whether they did or didn’t know about it, if enough people complain to today tonight about what is going on there may be a chance of getting your money back. Channel 7 appear to be an avenue for all the scammers promote their scamming businesses. If they didn’t know anything about it, it is an utter disgrace that they are not doing enough research on these businesses before they promote them. I highly stress: complain to Channel 7, because they are no way innocent in this situation. The bottom line is that if they didn’t promote the business all these people wouldn’t have been stung for it.

  • Don’t bother with this lot. If you are a business Freagle takes your money claiming to teach you stuff you can learn for free and you have to give stuff away hoping that it will generate business. See my blogpost for more information and comments: http://businesspromoter.blogspot.com/2009/07/beware-of-freagle-ebhe.html

  • Sorry guys, probably am going to get called every name under the sun. But, I actually like the program. I think that the amount of information that you get and the support on the teleseminars is well worth the $60 per month. Allright it is not a get rich quick scheme but I am looking at the bigger picture – giving it a year. I did not even know what a blog was before I started so am happy with how far I have come in the last 4 months. Now doing twitter, articles, blogs, squidoos etc. Might all sound like everyday stuff to you guys – but it was all new to me.

  • Hi. I would like to let everyone know that I had the same issue with Freagle charging my credit card 3 more times even though I correctl emailed Freagle on 110509 to cancel my membership AND then receiving an email from Freagle saying my membership would be cancelled before the next payment was due. Guess what – I was charged $59.97 again on 130609, 110709 and 080809. I was in the midst of raising a dispute claim wth my credit card provider NAB, when my wife suggested I call Today Tonight and Media Watch. I called the TT number (02) 8777 7777) and the lady there put me through to Jonathan Creek. After speaking to Jonathan Creek, I emailed him ( [email protected] ) my May 11 cancellation letter and the May 13 letter from Freagle (Katrina) stating that my membership would be cancelled. Jonathan passed my information on to Wes Thornton. The 3 credit card charges of $59.97 were reversed 2 days later. I also received and email from Wes Thornton stating that my membership has been cancelled this time. Needless to say I’m not going to wait to find out if my card is charged again in September as I’m moving to a Woolworths credit card anyway. I’m grateful to Jonathan Creek as I may have lost my NAB dispute with Freagle if Freagle argued strongly. My proof however would have been my cancellation email and email from Freagle saying they had received it. If you can’t get your money back by contacting TT, then my advice is to contact Mark Franklin at Media Watch:
( [email protected]) as he is certainly interested in this story. Only attempt to recover your money via TT if you can provide a valid cancellation email from the trial period AND Freagle’s email back to you stating that they received your cancellation email. In other words if you didn’t cancel correctly, I’m sorry but that is not Freagle’s problem. It’s only Freagle’s problem if, like me, you cancelled correctly and continued to be charged. Thanks.
