Here’s my first dish over the holidays I have made. Taste’s great!

Serves 4 people, I just halved the ingredients and had for 2 nights.

Ingredients:

• 500g Spaghetti.
• 1 Tablespoon olive oil
• 5 Bacon Rashers, cut up.
• 1/2 Cup (125ml) dry white wine. (Can be bought from liqueur store only in 250ml sachet.
• 1/2 cup (125ml) cream
• 4 Eggs
• Parmesan cheese
• Chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Cooking Details:

1. Add pasta to large pan of boiling water, simmer, uncovered until tender. Then drain.
2. Heat oil in pan, add bacon, then egg and cook until crisp.
3. Stir in wine and cream into pasta pan bringing to the boil; then remove from heat.
4. Toss pasta in with bacon and egg, serve with sprinkled cheese and parsley.

Hello again. Yesterday arvo after i sent no.5 we headed off to the movies and dad and i saw i an legend while the girls went and saw some chick flic that mum apparantly cried the whole way through :S

After that we hit up a cafe for dinner and had pizzas. That nite (and yes its still raining. Will it ever stop?) we then played cards and i introduced a new card game called poo head, a game we played heaps at schoolies. We couldnt find a hat so we made our own variation and stuck a peg on the poo head. (dw if u dont know wat in talkin bout..) see attached pic of my sister taking the game a tad to far..

Today we went to dream world again for 1 hour after it opened and went on our favourite rides before the queues got to long then we crossed over to white water world, our last theme park for the holiday.

  
Tomoz we have to pack up and start the long journey home stopping at a few places along the way. Wish us luck that it doesnt rain tomoz morning or well b packing up in the rain and in sure some of you know what thats like.

Sorry this time its a little short but i gotta get to bed for an early pack up tomoz.

Ive been a bit lazy so im sending 3 days worth in this email :)

Wednesday 2nd:
We hit up dream world 2day instead of wet and wild as it is proberly the last day where it isnt raining the whole day while we are here. We did the giant drop first of. dad and i later decided that its the best ride, so if you go make sure you do it.. Its like the wonderland space probe only bigger and better. They hold you for a good 30 seconds before they drop you!

The tower of terror-we were lucky that we got there early while the queue was short. We got up to 159km/h on the ride but still reckon the drop was the better. Later that day there was 1.5 hour queues for the t.o.t . And the line goes into a dark tunnel which is all humid and its hard to breathe :/

Next we went on a ride called wipeout and then the claw. Wipe out is hard to describe but the claw is like a pirate ship but you sit is a circular thing and it spins as well as going from side to side.
Next we went on another roller coaster called cyclone. Had to queue for an hour to get on a 30 second ride.. I recognised a guy that i used to goto school with that i sat next to on the ride. He was in year 12 when i was in year 8 and i still remembered his face!  The roller coaster has two loop the loops and heaps of twists and turns.

The Claw:

After that we had lunch at the big brother cafe :)

I was pretty sick of the queues at this point with most rides with a 45-60 min wait, so i jumped on the steam train and did 4 laps of the park, a total of 80 mins :) after that i found the family again who only went on 1 ride in the mean time and everyone had had enough so we hit the road back to where we are staying.

Later that night dad and i went to pick up a kayak that he had bought on ebay. Turned you to be pretty much brand new and we got for less than half price. The paddle is dodge tho so we’ll have to get a new one when we return home.

Thursday 3rd: today the forecast is rain once again and we have to goto wet and wild 2day or our tickets expire. Went on a ride called black hole. Which is just your average water slide but fast and in the dark. Then i went to ‘calippo beach’  is a massive whirl pool where you sit in donuts. Not exactly the most breath taking ride around but it beats waiting in 1 hour queues.. As you already tell by now id rather do anything but stand in a queue getting rained on :) then the family raced on a ride where you get a mat and slide down after you get the green light. Dad and i worked out you cant cheat, as gd you go before the green light you get fouled and you dont get a ranking at the end :(

Friday (today): after 3 theme parks in a row and getting fried in the sun yesterday at wet and wild, today is being used to recover and sleep pretty much all day apart from playing some cards and swimming in the pool :)

Good news, we ended up going to movie world even tho it was raining. We were told the main rides take 1 hour after it stops raining before they go again but they were all going despite showers here and there. If we didnt get to go 2day we were going to cancel are whole park trip and come bac in easter, so we were very lucky. Throughout the day the sun shined through a bit here and there and only rained every now and then.
Superman and the scooby doo ride was the best. Went on superman the most, 4.2g forces and 1 negative g force for all those physics nerds :P
See attached picture of the family on superman. A full day of rides and shows is very tiring and i have a headach and an ready for some sleep :)

We should be going to wet and wild tomoz or the next day and the forecast is more rain but doesnt really matter now as all the rides are yet ones anyway and can run when its raining.

After planning our day to movie world it rained all nite and pretty much all 2day so we decided to go shopping instead for some clothes and wet weather gear such as golf umbrellas :S we also asked he we could extend our time here at top tourist park, 8 miles plain cos otherwise we will run out of days to visit all 5 parks we bought tickets for. We still should b home on the 10th tho.

I have also been talking to the locals and they have said it hasnt been sunny for over 3 weeks.. And every other state forecast we have seen is! I thought they called this the ‘sunshine coast’ ?? I guess we just came at the wrong time and have been unlucky..

Had chinese for dinner and now just waiting for the new year countdown, although qld has no dst so we will be having new years 1 hour after u nsw ppl :P

Have a good new year everyone and let me know your new years resolution and wat u have been up to lately

Finally all settled in at the new place. Went to the westfield shops 1 min down the road, its as big as erina, proberly bigger! Heres a pic of the pool area, it has a dining restaurant right next to it and them amenities close by. Bout a 30 second walk to get to them. The  below pic is our final ultimate setup :) we have been having the weirdest weather, will have heavy rain for 5 mins then sun will come out and dry everything in 5 mins then we will have strong hot winds and this just keeps cycling.

Ok i have finally tracked down all ym holiday emails i sent to friends that i typed on my phone while i was on my wld holiday over christmas and new year. So enjoy some info and pics over the next week from locations around Australia in Qld. If You have any questions bout anything let me know and test my knowledge :)

The following email took place on Mon, 31 Dec 2007

Stayed at a national park just out of tenantfield the last 2 nights. Have had no reception where we have been. Yesterday we went to bald rock, the largest granite rock in australia. To get to it we did about a 5km walk and were surprised of how big it was, something you have to actually see and walk to fully picture it. We got back to our tent site for lunch and a rest then went on another short drive to boonoo boonoo water falls. Wasnt as exciting or big as the ‘rock’ but was still good. We went swimming there and got some great photos of lots of different parts of the river flowing. I think ill open up my own gallery :) should be at 8 miles plane near brisbane in around 2-3 hours where we are staying for the next week and visiting all the theme parks. The house seasons i bought for dad have come in handy as i put the first 8 episodes plus some other movies on all the ipods but sav and yol have already watched them all. Heres a picture of our short stop camp setups(above) , it changes a bit when we stay longer as we put out a big awning and some over stuff. Peace out and have a great new year!
