Offline WordPress Post Blogging
Can’t be on the Internet long? Not enough time to write your blog online in WordPress? Then I have the perfect free solution for you!
While I’m at the snow I only have 10 hours of Internet to use over the whole 2 weeks I’m here which means I cant stay on my blog site and type because it will use up all my hours. So instead I did a bit of research, downloaded 4 offline blogging programs and compared them all. I now have 4-5 posts ready to be uploaded each day for my readers.
All of them are free and all are WordPress/blogger compatible. Basically these programs allow you to write posts while offline, save them all and post them when you want. So I just log on the net and click publish and then disconnect again. The reason I like Windows Live writer the best is because of the extra features it provides and the better design (read below).
Rank 1: Windows Live Writer – 100/100
- Automatically saves your drafts at a specified interval.
- Add plugins to the program.
- Best design, easiest to use.
- Lists all your drafts in a neat orderly fashion.
- When first starting the program, it scans your blog and your template, meaning all your drafts can be viewed just as they would appear on your blog when posted.
- Spell Checker
- Special image enhancer, just add a image and it will downsize it to a specified size, and it optimize it and make the file to be uploaded as small as possible all on the fly!
Rank 2: Blog Desk – 80/100
Rank 3: Post2Blog – 70/100
Rank 4: Qumana – 60/100
